Remember when vendor fatigue was the biggest hassle? Endless tech companies pitching "game-changing" solutions. Well, those days are gone. Now, we’re in the age of "AI fatigue", especially in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Every tech company swears their AI can solve every problem under the sun—maybe even your afternoon snack dilemma.
1. The AI That Promises Everything (But Still Can’t Fix My Backhand)
Our pitches all sound similar: “ Our AI will transform your business, predict risks, and maybe walk your dog!” Even at FedShark, we’ve got some powerful AI tools, but let’s not act like our AI is going to magically make your tennis game better... though that would be nice.
2. AI Everywhere (Even Where You Don’t Need It)
We get it…AI is everywhere. But sometimes, enough is enough. About a month ago, I lost my internet for several days at home and couldn't turn off my RING alarm or Alexa-enabled lights. I’m just sitting there in the dark, with a blaring RING alarm, grateful that my coffeemaker doesn't need Wi-Fi.
3. Buzzword Overload: When AI Sounds Fancier Than It Is
We’ve all heard the buzzwords: “Machine learning! Predictive analytics!” After a while, it’s just noise. At FedShark, we are just as guilty! We throw around a few AI terms too, but we are trying to get around throwing around the AI buzz and just tell the customer simply how their workflow and efficiency will be improved.
4. Let’s Keep It Real
Don’t get me wrong—AI is awesome. It’s making things so much faster and more efficient. FedShark’s AI plays a big role in that for simplifying compliance assessments and audits. But not everything needs to be AI-powered. Sometimes you just want straightforward answers without the algorithmic song and dance.
Now, if only AI could give me tips on improving my tennis backhand... or better yet, you know, just turn my lights on when the Wi-Fi goes down.
